Blue Rosette!

Morning everyone, I had a play with this week Freshly Made Sketch...
...and came up with this using a Layered Rosette Silhouette Cameo cutting file by Lori Whitlock.

I cut out the base of the rosette using vellum to make it more delicate and then simply layered everything else with some pale blue and white card stock. I then added some faux stitching and a Hero arts sentiment to finish.

April Showers!

Morning everyone, hope you have not all melted away with this heatwave, phew!
It's time for a new challenge at

and this weeks theme is

"Spots & Stripes"

For my take on the theme I have used this Pink Gem Designs fabulous freebie "April Showers"

I coloured him using Copics. I paper pieced his hat and umbrella using some Echo Park papers - Sweet Day. I cut out the wording using my Cameo and then added some faux stitching and a button from my stash to finish!

So now just pop over to A Gem Of A Challenge and join in the fun!

It's Your Birthday!

Hi everyone, hope you are all well! I can't believe how long it has been since I posted anything and I hang my head in shame!
I have got a rare couple of days off work though so I intend to rectify it starting with this one which I made using this weeks fabulous Freshly Made Sketch

I basically used a combination of shapes made using my Cameo and some Die Cuts by Marianne Designs and Nestabilities along with some scraps of papers. I finished off with Gems, twine and a Craftwork Cards sentiment!

I promise I will be round to catch up with you all later, thanks for looking!

Mouse Party!

Evening everyone, just popped by quickly to share this card I made using this weeks Freshly Made Sketch

I teamed it up with this gorgeous Lili Of The Valley - Birthday Balloons  stamp which I am ashamed to say I have never inked up until now!

I coloured the image with Copics and simply added a strip of left over paper from my stash and a Craftwork Cards sentiment.

Cheeky Monkey!

Evening everyone, I have had a play with this weeks fab Sketch Saturday sketch...

I coloured him with Copics and the papers are from a Jillibean Soup paper pad called spotted owl soup. I added some faux stitching, some card candi and I cut out the name and number using my Cameo. I have made this one for one of our Great Nephews.

Rose In Bloom!

Evening everyone, hope you are enjoying this beautiful weather! Now I was looking fir something a little different for a friends birthday and I came across this Silhouette Cameo file by Jamie Cripps - A2 rose cut out card! So I gave it a whirl and this is how it turned out!

I used my own card blank. I then added some faux stitching around the edges to finish it off and a Hero Arts stamped sentiment. The rose was quite simple to layer up it just needed lots of shaping to the centre petals using the end of a thin paint brush. There is s full tutorial here!
