Gamer Boy!

Evening everyone, well it's raining here but I suppose we do need some! I have the day off tomorrow so I am sure it will rain some more LOL! Now for today's card I have followed Vicky's fab sketch over at Sketch & Stash Challenge 58. I needed to make a card for our Nephew's birthday and it was perfect! As you can probably guess he enjoys spending his spare time on his Playstation, so when I saw this Digi Image over at Mo Manning's I had to get it!

So the image is new and I have teamed it up with some very old Essentials Paperz I found in my stash and embossed some co-ordinating card stock using a Cuttlebug folder. The embossing means I can also enter this into I love ProMarkers Challenge 59 - Emboss it!

Stamp: Mo Manning - Video Boy
Papers: Essentials Paperz - Earth Dots & card stock from stash
Medium: ProMarkers - Denim Blue, Burnt Orange, Tan, Cinnamon, Cool Grey 1& 4, Ruby, Ivory, BlushGrey Green & Black
Embellishments: Woodware sentiment
Tools: Circle Nesties & Cuttlebug embossing folder

Not a stamp in sight!

Morning everyone, hope you are all well on this lovely sunny day! I have something a little different for you today. It is my Sister-in-Law's 50th birthday shortly and her most favourite thing in her life is her dog Teddy! So not a stamp or digi image in sight for this one I'm afraid. I have used a photo of Teddy which I adjusted using Aperture software and followed the fabulous sketch over at Friday Sketchers. I hope a photo is allowed!

The papers are again unknown I'm afraid they were a gift from someone and had no packaging sorry! I have also added some faux stitching using my trusty EK Success Cutter Bee and opaque pen again. The sentiment is by Penny Black and the numbers come from a Sizzix Azure alphabet set.

Thanks for looking, sorry for the short post but I am going to be late for work!

Morning everyone, here is my 3rd GDT card for Cupcake Craft Challenges! The theme this week is MONOCHROMATIC so I decided to go for traditional black & white! I had never coloured an image in shades of black before and I was really pleased how it turned out. Cupcake Craft Challenge is sponsored this week by Prairie Fairy Designs.

I am afraid I don't know who the papers are by again as I have had them since I first started crafting. Don't know why I have never used them before as they are great! The image is by The Greeting Farm and was perfect for this one!

Stamp: The Greeting Farm ?
Papers: From Stash?

Spring is here, not!

Morning all! It was a beautiful day yesterday when I had to work and today when I'm off it's cloudy and grey, charming! I apologise for the odd photo today, this card just would not photograph upright for some strange reason! My husband would of been able to sort it out but he is still asleep! I should be too but my lovely cat decided to wake me up early! I have used the fab sketch from Sketch & Stash Challenge 57 for this one and I am also entering it into Penny Blacks Saturday Challenge - Spring is Sprung

Not my usual choice of colours but very spring like I thought. I have inked up an old and neglected Penny Black stamp using ProMarkers and a water spray (didn't know if it would work but thankfully it did) and I have used some neglected Bo Bunny papers too!

Stamp: Penny Black - Rhyme
Papers : Bo Bunny & AC card stock
Medium: ProMarkers - Tulip Yellow, Leaf Green & water spray
Embellishments: Craftwork Cards sentiment, Flowers & Gems from stash
Tools: Oval Nesties & Marianne Design leaf die

Baking Mice!

Evening all! Glad it's Friday only one more day at work, but as I did have half the week off I really shouldn't complain lol! For today's card I have used the fab sketch by Bev over at Lili of The Valley Challenge 88! This image was a bit too big for the sketch really but I couldn't wait to use it, so I made it fit!

I found the papers amongst my stash and have no idea who they are by sorry! I just love these little mice and they were surprisingly easy to colour. I decided to keep the colour scheme simple as the papers are quite loud (can't think of a better word!). I made the flowers using a Marianne Design Die with some Craftwork Card Candy for the centres, they are supposed to layer up but I like them like this!

Stamp: Lili of the Valley - Cherry On Top
Papers: From stash?
Medium: ProMarkers - Cardinal Red, Vanilla, Tan, Sandstone, Ivory, Cool Grey 1, 2 & 4
Embellishments: Marianne Design Flower Die, Craftwork Cards Candy & Sentiment
Tools: Fiskars Shape Cutter & Circle Nesties

Rock on!

Hi everyone, hope you are all well! Sorry it's been a while since I posted but I took my Husband away to London for a few days as a birthday surprise! We had a fab time and went to see "Love Never Dies" at the theatre which was brilliant! We also went to the National History Museum which is just incredible and free!! Anyway enough about me and onto my card for today, I am entering this one into four challenges, as I have some catching up to do:

I followed the fab sketch from Erika over at the Sugar Bowl but I didn't include the optional Spring theme as it did not really work with this image!

Medium: ProMarkers - Forest Green, Cardinal Red, Ivory, Blush, Tan, Cinnamon, Sandstone, Cool Grey 1
Embellishments: Craftwork Cards sentiment
Tools: Oval Nesties

Smile if you're 40!

Evening everyone, now it is my husbands 40th birthday this weekend so of course a card is needed! He is a keen photographer so this image from Pollycraft is just perfect, apart from the fact he isn't bald LOL! He has also always been fascinated by Aliens and has watched the Alien films about a million times! I noticed over at Pollycraft Challenge this week the theme was "Fly me to the moon" so originally I was going to make him two cards to fit both his interests. Then I was just finishing this card using the fab sketch from Friday Sketchers and thought how moon like the circle element looked. So I shrunk an Alien Pollycraft image as small as I could, turned some card candy upside down for craters and voila! I had managed to get both interests on one card!  A bit random but I think it works!

The little alien was a bit fiddly to cut out but very easy to colour! I created the sentiment on my computer, I thought it was more subtle than a big 40!

Images: Pollycraft - Maurice say cheese & Critters ship
Papers: Basic Grey - Marjolaine paper pad & AC Cardstock
Medium: Promarkers - Cool Grey 1, 4 & 5, Cornflower, Black, Ivory & Blush
Embellishments: Craftwork Cards Candy & Computer sentiment
Tools: Circle Nesties

My 1st GDT Card!

Morning everyone, I have my very first GDT card to show you today for Cupcake Craft Challenge! I was sooo nervous at first but they have a fab theme this week which is "Pink Polka Dots" and once I chose my papers it all went smoothly! They are sponsored this week by:

I used a fab Tida image and paper pieced her top & bow to match the papers. The frame is a Marianne Design Die and I used circle nesties for the centre. I added some Glamour Dust to her wings and some Craftwork Cards Candy to continue the dotty theme!

Stamp: Magnolia - Tilda
Papers: Craft Creations
Medium: Promarkers - Tan, Cinnamon, Henna, Ivory, Blush, Cocktail Pink, Denim Blue & White Opaque Pen
Embellishments: Sentiment from Lili of the Valley, Craftwork Cards Candy & Ribbon from stash

Christening Wishes!

Hi everyone, thank goodness it's the weekend! Hope you all have a good one. I was asked to make a christening card in the unusual colours of pink & black! I decided to use the fab sketch over at Sketch & Stash Challenge 56 by Lizzy for this one. I decided to keep the black to a minimum in order to keep it girly and I think it worked out ok.

I used my neglected Forever Friends Christening stamp and some papers from my stash along with my fairly new corner die from Marianne Designs. I used my computer to print the wording!

Stamp: Forever Friends?
Papers: from stash
Medium: Promarkers - Tan, Cinnamon, Satin, Cocktail Pink, Blossom & Cool Grey 1
Embellishments: Buttons from stash, computer generated wording
Tools: Marianne Design Corner Die

Get Well Soon!

Hi everyone, I am off to take my Mum to see my Nan this weekend. She has been poorly so I thought I would use the fab sketch by Bev over at Lili Of The Valley to make her a get well card! It also qualifies for  Simon Says Challenge who have a recipe to follow:
1 Image
2 Patterned Papers (+ plain card for layering)
3 Different types of embellishment

I had great fun with this sketch. I rotated it to fit the image better and I did cheat by adding my sentiment in a different spot but I hope they will let me off! The papers are again from my Mum who is not sure of the make but we think My Minds eye. I just realised as I am typing that I forgot to colour in bunnies medicine whoops! I will have to sort that out later.

Stamp: Lili of the Valley - Poorly Bunny
Papers: My Minds Eye? & AC Cardstock
Medium: Promarkers - Cool Grey 1, 2 & 4, Blossom, Satin, Moss Green, Honeycomb & Raw Sienna
Embellishments: Flowers & Brads from stash, Sentiment - Hero Arts, Marianne Design Swirls
Tools: Oval Nesties
